Ducom Middle East Fze was formed in July 2004 by acquiring Ace Marketing & Distribution Fze. Ace Marketing has been in business since 2003 and was a distributor of Siemens Mobile Phones.
Ducom Middle East Fze had an agreement with Siemens UAE to represent Siemens Mobile business for Middle East Africa as an independent distributor in assigned markets along with the responsibility of acting as a Master Distributor for Siemens Mobile Accessories Devises for the entire MEA region. In addition Ducom ME provided Siemens LLC with fulfilment services such as inbound / outbound cargo warehousing, bulk breaking, repackaging etc.
In 2006, the company had moved its focus to invest in its own brand by the name of “everon”. everon focuses on bringing digital multimedia products to the emerging Middle East market. Our specialization in distribution and quick rotation of fast moving memory products have made us one of the major player in the flash memory distribution markets of Middle East.
Currently the company employs 18 permanent staff.
Facilities:
Ducom operates from its office in Airport free zone. The office is attached with a bonded warehouse. Adequate packaging and branding machinery including Pad printing, laser, shrink wrap and heat sealing machine with skilled staff is available in the ware house to efficiently assemble and package the product for timely deliveries.
Distribution Network:
everon is being distributed across Middle East through a network of Hypermarkets, value-added retailers and a wide spectrum of dealers network. This multilevel distribution helps maintain growth and profitability. We believe that the market will shift considerably from street vendors to retailers or hypermarket style selling during the next five years. everon is well positioned to benefit from this change (attached presentation elaborates in details).

The future;
Ducom ME anticipates achieving a sales turnover of UAE Dhs. 100 million in 2009 with a planned gross margin of 8%. This increase is envisaged through further product developing existing customer base, new market entry as well as strategic alliances.
Following products will be new flagship products in the coming 6-12 months.
USB Drives:
New fashion series USB drives will be launched with attractive packaging options. The world’s smallest USB, which was launched by everon in the 2nd quarter 2009 will be enhanced in quality and will further be made more slimmer in size.
External Portable Hard drives:
MENA market is projected to consume 3 million notebook PC’s in 2009. everon external portable hard drives are targeted towards notebook users and offer great value for money. It comes in various colours to suit consumer’s buying requirements.
Mobile Phones:
everon decided to enter into this segments due to its considerable penetration into mobile phone dealer market through already established mobile phone accessory business. Investments have been made in private ID models. Feature rich mobiles will be targeted at the entry level market segment.
Wireless Communications:
HSPDA or HSUDA broadband wireless modems are rapidly becoming popular due to ease of use and enhanced speed. It is like connecting your mobile phone to your notebook and getting hooked to the internet from where you are. everon will bring compatible models at attractive prices.
Envisioning the market trends and technology convergence, Ducom Middle East will focus on developing efficiencies in distribution of digital multimedia products across Middle East and seek value added alliance with strategic partners across the globe.
